Admissions Criteria

Application Evaluation

Admission to Christian Life College is based upon a careful evaluation of each individual’s application file.

Application files are processed and submitted to the Admissions review department upon receipt of a completed application package, inclusive of all application supporting documents as required.
Spring Semester – submission deadline – November 1
Fall Semester –      submission deadline – July 1

Academic Achievement

Admission to Christian Life College requires successful completion of high school or equivalent, evidenced by official transcripts from a certified academic institution.

Homeschooled students require a diploma issued through a state-approved certified program.

  • Recommended minimum High School/College GPA of 2.0
  • SAT or ACT test results are required as supporting documents, prior to the Admissions review of the application for acceptance determination. Schedule an SAT or ACT test at www.collegeboard.org or www.act.org Exceptions may apply with an approved college transcript.
    • College Transcripts*- must have taken academic courses and minimum GPA 2.0
      (NOTE: college transcripts that do not reach the required standard, SAT or ACT scores will be required to accompany the college transcript)

Transfer Students

A high school diploma with official transcripts and official college transcript(s) from an accredited academic institution is required. An audit of the college courses with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA, shown in the official college transcript, is required to determine which courses may be transferrable. Transferrable credits must meet our degree program requirements.

  • experience/familiarity with a variety of file formats such as .pdf, “Portable Document Format,” .rtf “Rich Text Format,” .doc or .docx “Microsoft Word Document,” and .txt “Text document.”
  • Familiarity with using document scanners or document scanning apps to convert handwritten work to a PDF file
  • the ability to be self-directed in learning new technology skills (e.g. following a handout, a step-by-step tutorial, online video help, or access to support to learn necessary skills)

International Students

International students are individuals who need a visa to study in the United States. It is advisable to submit all documents at least six (6) months prior to the first day of instruction to avoid lengthy visa delays.

General Timeline for international student enrollment applications.
8–10 Months Before Enrollment:
  1. Start Preparing Application Materials
    Gather transcripts, recommendation letters, personal statements, passport, and financial documents.
  2. Prepare for Standardized Tests – Take TOEFL and SAT or ACT.
  3. Prepare for Student Loans and Scholarship Applications
    The CLC scholarship application(s) annual submission deadline is June 1st.
6–8 Months Before Enrollment:
  1. Begin Applications – International student applications open in January – July
    • Fall Semester applications: January – February
    • Spring Semester applications: June – July
4-6 Months Before Enrollment (February–April)
  1. Receive Admission Decisions
  2. Confirm Enrollment & Pay Deposit – Deposit payment is due prior to the distribution of an I-20 form.
  3. Apply for a Student Visa – Start the visa process as soon as you receive your I-20 form.
2 Months Before Enrollment (Spring Semester: November-December | Fall Semester: June-July)
  1. Arrange Travel – Book flights, secure accommodation, and register for orientation.
  2. Prepare for Arrival – Welcome week, including orientation, begins one week prior to the first day of classes each semester.

The College does not provide visa services. When an international student is accepted, the College will issue the SEVIS I-20 form, a Certification of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant Student Status. Individuals illegally residing in the United States are not eligible for enrollment at the College.

International Student Deposit Criteria
  1. Complete an international student application* and submit an international student deposit. (Deposit begins at $2,550.00 and may be up to 50% of tuition.)

*Upon acceptance to Christian Life College and payment of the international student deposit, the student will be issued a Form I-20.


Required English Proficiency exam for International Students

All College classes are instructed in English.  In addition to the SAT or ACT test results, students from countries outside of the United States must submit a TOEFL exam score.  The TOEFL exam must have a score of at least 500 to be admitted to the College. Christian Life College does not offer English language services.
