CLC Scholarship Program | Fall 2023

1. Daryl Rash Missions Scholarship

The Daryl Rash Memorial Missions Scholarship is available to (1) international students for the purpose of training them to propagate the gospel in their respective home countries, (2) the children of active global (foreign) missionaries, and to students enrolled in the Missiology concentration of the General Ministry program.  To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

International students and/or children of active global missionaries chosen to receive the Daryl Rash Memorial Missions Scholarship may receive a scholarship up to the full cost of tuition and housing fees (on-campus) or a portion thereof.  Students may receive the scholarship for any year of attendance and are eligible to receive the scholarship up to four times during their academic career at Christian Life College.  More than one winner may be selected per College year, depending on the availability of scholarship funds.  The financial needs of candidates may be factored into determining scholarship recipients and in determining the amounts of scholarship funds awarded.  The final selection of winners is determined by the Executive Committee of the College.

To be eligible for the Daryl Rash Memorial Missions Scholarship, candidates are to submit:

  • CLC’s Scholarship Application
  • An essay (400 – 800 words) detailing their calling, current ministry activity, and vision for their respective home countries (international students) or future field of service (children of active foreign missionaries)
  • A reference letter from a pastor or ministry elder affirming the candidate’s worthiness of consideration for this scholarship
  • An official high school or college transcript which demonstrates that candidates meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirements for the three previous years*

The Scholarship Application, essay, reference letter, and transcript are due at the time when the student’s college application is submitted.


2. Kenneth F. Haney Global Impact Scholarship

The Kenneth F. Haney Global Impact Scholarship is available to students for the purpose of training them to propagate the gospel both locally and globally.  The children of active North American (Home) missionaries or those professing a call to North American (Home) missions will be given special consideration.  To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application.  To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

 3. AION Business and Leadership Scholarship

The AION Business and Leadership Scholarship is available to students for the purpose of training them to develop as leaders in the areas of business administration and leadership.  To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1.  Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

Students chosen to receive the AION Business and Leadership Scholarship may receive a scholarship up to the full cost of tuition or a portion thereof, to be used towards tuition costs.   • An essay (400 – 800 words) detailing their view of the importance of the application of Christian principles and ethical practices into the realm of business administration and leadership, and their vision for incorporating a Christian worldview into business and leadership settings
  • A reference letter from a pastor or elder in ministry affirming the candidate’s worthiness of consideration for this scholarship
  • An official high school or college transcript which demonstrates that candidates meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirements for the three previous years*

The Scholarship Application, essay, reference letter, and transcript are due at the time when the student’s college application is submitted.


4. Rick Keyes Memorial Scholarship

The Rick Keyes Memorial Scholarship is available to students for the purpose of training them to develop as ministers in the local church setting who will also work in unity within the ministerial fellowship of the United Pentecostal Church. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must be members in good standing of a church in the Western District of the UPCI and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1.  Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

Students chosen to receive the Rick Keyes Memorial Scholarship may receive a scholarship up to $1500 or a portion thereof, to be used towards tuition costs. Students may receive the scholarship for any year of attendance and are eligible to receive the scholarship up to four times during their academic career at Christian Life College.  More than one winner may be selected per College year, depending on the availability of scholarship funds.  The financial needs of candidates may be factored into determining scholarship recipients and in determining the amounts of scholarship funds awarded.  The selection of winners is determined by the Executive Committee of the College.

To be eligible for the Rick Keyes Memorial Scholarship, students are to submit:

  • CLC’s Scholarship Application
  • An essay (400 – 800 words) detailing their involvement in ministry activity in the local church setting and/or participation in ministry events in the Western District of the UPCI.
  • A reference letter from a pastor or elder in ministry affirming the candidate’s worthiness of consideration for this scholarship
  • An official high school or college transcript which demonstrates that candidates meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirements for the three previous years*

The Scholarship Application, essay, reference letter, and transcript are due at the time when the student’s college application is submitted.


 5. KYCC Media Arts Scholarship

The KYCC Media Arts Scholarship is available to students for the purpose of training them to develop as leaders in the areas of creative media arts. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1.  Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

Students chosen to receive the KYCC Media Arts Scholarship may receive a scholarship up to $1000 or a portion thereof, to be used towards tuition costs. Students may receive the scholarship for any year of attendance and are eligible to receive the scholarship up to four times during their academic career at Christian Life College.  More than one winner may be selected per College year, depending on the availability of scholarship funds.  The financial needs of candidates may be factored into determining scholarship recipients and in determining the amounts of scholarship funds awarded.  The selection of winners is determined by the Executive Committee of the College.

To be eligible for the KYCC Media Arts Scholarship, students are to submit:

  • CLC’s Scholarship Application
  • An essay (400 – 800 words) detailing their view of the importance of the application of Christian principles and ethical practices into the realm of creative media production, and their vision for incorporating a Christian worldview into media settings
  • A reference letter from a pastor or elder in ministry affirming the candidate’s worthiness of consideration for this scholarship
  • An official high school or college transcript which demonstrates that candidates meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirements for the three previous years*

The Scholarship Application, essay, reference letter, and transcript are due at the time when the student’s college application is submitted.


6. The Dean’s Academic Achievement Scholarship

The Dean’s Academic Achievement Scholarship is available to students who have attained high achievement in their high school and/or collegiate academic pursuits.  To be eligible for the Dean’s Academic Achievement Scholarship, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application.  Any additional academic achievements may be listed on the form and included in the accompanying essay (see below).  To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

Students chosen to receive the Dean’s Academic Achievement Scholarship may receive a scholarship up to $2500 towards tuition or a portion thereof, to be used towards tuition costs. Students may receive the scholarship for any year of attendance and are eligible to receive the scholarship up to four times during their academic career at Christian Life College.  More than one winner may be selected per College year, depending on the availability of scholarship funds.  The financial needs of candidates may be factored into determining scholarship recipients and in determining the amounts of scholarship funds awarded.  The selection of winners is determined by the President of the College in collaboration with the Executive Committee.

To be eligible for the President’s Academic Achievement Scholarship, students are to submit:

  • CLC’s Scholarship Application
  • An essay (400 – 800 words) detailing past academic pursuits, their current ministry involvement, and their vision for incorporating academics into answering their calling
  • A reference letter from a pastor or elder in ministry affirming the candidate’s worthiness of consideration for this scholarship
  • An official high school or college transcript which demonstrates that candidates meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirements for the three previous years*

The Scholarship Application, essay, reference letter, and transcript are due at the time when the student’s college application is submitted.


 7. The President’s Ministry Service Scholarship

The President’s Ministry Service Scholarship is available to students who have been actively involved in ministry service in their local church setting. To be eligible for the President’s Ministry Service Scholarship, students must have a minimum of three years of active ministry service combined with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in high school and/or college in the three years prior to the submission of their Scholarship Application.  Any additional ministry achievements may be listed on the form and included in the accompanying essay (see below).  To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations. Only full-time on-campus learners are eligible to apply.

8. CLC Foundations of Faith Scholarship

The CLC Foundations of Faith Scholarship is available to all incoming first-year students for the next school year’s fall enrollment period. To be eligible for the CLC Foundation Scholarship, candidates must have graduated from high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Incoming first-year students who have attended other institutions of higher education prior to enrolling at at Christian Life College must demonstrate a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for all higher education academic studies. Additional academic achievement, community service participation, and ministry involvement will carry additional weight in the review of applicants. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit the Scholarship Application by June 1. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the current year’s scholarship allocations. Additionally, new students must have an enrollment application completed and submitted to the Admissions Department by this date to qualify for scholarship allocations.

Students chosen to receive the CLC Foundations of Faith Scholarship will receive a scholarship of $1000 toward their first year of tuition.  The $1000 will be split into $500 disbursements at the beginning of each semester of the student’s freshman year.  The awarded student must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 for their initial semester to be eligible for the second half of this scholarship.  If the winner of the scholarship fails to maintain the minimum GPA required, the academic board of Christian Life College will evaluate other qualified candidates.

The CLC Foundations of Faith Scholarship requires the award winner to hold a high moral standard in accordance with the college’s code of conduct as expressed in the Student Handbook. If for any reason a scholarship recipient is disciplined for behavior unbecoming of the high moral standards of CLC, the unpaid balance of any scholarship funds may be voided. In the unfortunate event of a disqualification, other qualified applicants may be considered for the disbursement of any current-year funds.

To be eligible for the Chancellors Academic Scholarship, students are to submit:

  • CLC Scholarship Application
  • A minimum 1600-word essay on any subject related to their burden for the Kingdom of God
  • A reference letter from a pastor or elder in ministry affirming the candidate’s worthiness of consideration for this scholarship
  • An official high school or college transcript which demonstrates that the candidate meets the minimum cumulative GPA required for consideration

The Scholarship Application, essay, reference letter, and transcript are due on June 1, and may be submitted prior to receiving a formal acceptance letter from the college.


Scholarship Submission Information

* If an official transcript is being submitted with a candidate’s college application, a second official transcript for the scholarship request is not needed; a photocopy of the official transcript or an unofficial transcript will be sufficient. Current CLC students do not need to request a transcript for their academic activities at CLC.

General Scholarship Information

All scholarships are split evenly between the first (fall) and second (spring)semesters. For example, if a recipient is awarded a $1000 scholarship, the first $500 will be applied to the fall semester’s charges and the remaining $500 will be applied to the second semester’s charges. Scholarship recipients who do not re-enroll for the second semester will forfeit any remaining balance of unused scholarship funds.

Scholarship funds are non-transferable.

Funds designated for tuition may only be used for tuition charges.

Scholarship application deadlines may be extended due to an applicant’s extenuating circumstances. However, the probability of such an extension is minimal due to the competitive nature of the scholarship selection process.
